I am going to eat well tomorrow. I bought a corned beef brisket, and I plan to cook it in the Instant Pot pressure cooker. My fast ends at 11:00 AM tomorrow morning, so there is plenty of time to cook it. It will probably take about an hour, I think. I'm not certain. I've done it before, but I can't remember how long it took.
Starting weight: 401 lbs
Current weight: 349 lbs ⇩
Long-term Goal: 145 lbs
Short-term Goal: 325 lbs
Also, I lost more than a pound since yesterday, so I'm thrilled about that! I'm under 350 lbs! I can't believe it. I never thought I would see it happen, but I'm here, and I keep losing. I love that I finally found something that definitely works for me, is sustainable for the long term, and will give me all the health benefits I really need!
So for my re-feed, I plan to take it a bit slow so I don't get too sick to my stomach. I've been doing pretty well with that thus far. My 5-day fasts have been really successful so far.
I will eat an entire can of black olives at some point today, but I will start with just a handful. I will drink about half the broth from the corned beef with some butter in it. I will also have about 4 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese today. I'm hoping that after it is cooked, I'll end up with 16 ounces in total for the brisket so I can eat 8 ounces of that today and the rest tomorrow. If there is a bit less, I'm okay with that.
There are still plenty of those chorizo egg muffins left from last week, so I can eat some of those if I need to push up my calories. I will not be consuming any vegetables, cruciferous or otherwise. I want to see what impact that will have on my blood glucose. I'm going to try my hardest to avoid consuming too many carbohydrates. I will also ensure that I get enough fats in my diet to cover the amount of protein I plan to consume. I don't want any excuse for that to turn into too much glucose.
It sounds like I will be consuming a lot of protein, but I will be having two meals, and across those two meals, I will have moderate protein in each. A serving of corned beef is 4 ounces, so if I consume a total of 8 ounces today and 8 ounces tomorrow, that's a moderate portion in each meal. If I have to have more calories, I will throw in a third meal somehow and consume those chorizo egg muffins. Those already have the correct proportions of macros, so I don't have to count anything other than how many I eat to know the caloric content.
I will have a really delicious re-feed tomorrow graph:
