I got my Dario blood glucose monitor today. I have also been fasting for about 37 hours at this point. It is currently 8:30 PM, and I am at work. I heard that fasting can raise the blood glucose readings, and that has happened. I measured a whopping 146mg/dl! This is number seems impossible as I'm eating literally nothing at all. I plan to do more research on how this fasting-affecting-glucose works. I will report my findings once I know more.
Starting weight: 401 lbs
Current weight: 356.4 lbs ⇩
Long-term Goal: 145 lbs
Short-term Goal: 325 lbs
On a lighter note, I am lighter! I'm lighter by an astounding 2.4 lbs! Wow! Just as I thought, it was all water, inflammation, and the food in my body that weighed me down. I had a nice visit with the porcelain fairy, and I also lost a lot of water from yesterday to today, so this is a number I was almost expecting to see. I'm also at my lowest -- my lowest before this was 356.8 lbs. I'm stoked! In total, from an initial starting weight of 425 lbs at my highest, I have lost 68.6 lbs. If I go just from May 24th of this year, I have lost a total of 44.6 lbs, and that's not too shabby! I'm rockin' it!
I have upped my supplement intake to try to make sure I am getting in enough Himalayan pink salt. I'm not certain what caused my body to want to eat on Day 5 of my last fast, but I suspect it was that I didn't have enough salt. I have capsules that contain a total of 1/8 tsp in each, and I am taking 18 of those today. I will take 2 per hour over a total of 8 hours. And then I have the 10 capsules of potassium as well. I will take one per hour, and I took took in this first hour. I need to spread them out over time because they really make my tummy feel bad when I do too much at once.
It's been several hours since I started writing this post.
So far, the salt capsules and potassium capsules are upsetting my tummy quite a bit. I may need to find a new solution. I just hate drinking salt water. It's so terrible. Maybe I can drink some of it, and then take the rest in capsule form. I'll try to mix-and-match when I get home from work this morning.
Himalayan pink salt is pretty, but it sure is hard to consume graph:
