May the 4th be with you!
Today was a bit of a scramble for me to find something I could eat at meal time. I failed. I'm out of salad, and I had planned on eating a giant salad with a can of chicken and some of my avocado and feta dressing. That was a no-go. Friday is typically shopping day, so Eric and I had to go shopping. He really didn't feel up to it, but I had no options.
The scale didn't move much. I'm still the same weight, but it also seems to be what the Facebook group members can "shark week." This is "that time of the month" for the women of the group. I haven't had one of these in a while. I'm wondering what this will do to my weight. Some reported gaining, like, 10 lbs! Ack! it's only temporary, though. Will I have cravings? Will I be extra hungry? These are my concerns.
So far, I am the same weight as I was yesterday.
Starting weight: 401 lbs
Current weight: 366.8 lbs
Long-term Goal: 145 lbs
Short-term Goal: 359 lbs
I haven't gained anything... yet. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. I am waiting to see whether I will balloon back up to 400 lbs. I know it won't be that much if it does happen, but I really, truly never want to see 400 lbs again. I got down to 374 lbs, and then I allowed myself to climb back up to 401 lbs. I was very ashamed of that.
This time is different. I'm already lighter than the 374 lbs I left off on before I let it all go and let my weight get out of hand again. I will be successful this time. I think partly this is due to the fact that I joined a Facebook group to support me and help keep me on track. I got dis!
I do a lot of YouTube binge-watching of videos of things I'm interested in. This weekend it's been all about Keto. And I found this guy, "Butter Bob." He's the author of the Blog Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off. I love the way this guy talks. He makes things sound so easy. I also like watching him on 2x speed. LOL.
I put on his videos, and my husband got to watch them peripherally. I think he's getting convinced. I know he is feeling a bit ad about his eating habits. The one thing that keeps him from trying keto is his ginger candy. He loves the stuff! I don't blame him. That's good stuff! Unfortunately, he would have to stop eating it if he did decide to try Keto.
I was also watching recipe videos to get ideas for Keto meals I could make for myself. He wants to eat them with me because they look so good. That's a bit of a start. he still takes sandwiches to work with him, so he's not Keto, but this is definitely a start. I'm not going to try to force him or convince him. The evidence should speak for itself, and I will be a very close source of evidence.
