6:15 AM on August 26 right now. I'm discouraged, but it's only Day 6. Got on the scale a few times today, and my body is being weird again. There's no way I could gain 6 lbs in one day, right?
Starting weight: 415 lbs
Current weight: 410.6 lbs ⇧
Long-term Goal: 145 lbs
Short-term Goal: 399 lbs
I wonder if I'm doing this right. I wonder if smelling food violates the 2-hour flavorless window. I wonder if my weight is fluctuating due to other factors such as bloat and water retention.
I did have quite a bit more food this "weekend" than I typically do. I'll continue as planned and hope for better numbers to come. I don't want to try "noseplugging" as others have done; it sounds miserable.
Basically, noseplugging entails wearing noseplugs like those worn by swimmers for the 2-hour flavorless window and sometimes during meals for more of a boost in the effect. I tried swallowing while holding my nose, and it made my ears pop. That's definitely not for me!
